I would agree with the Motorola Surfboard 5101 or 5110 models, we used them at the isp i worked at for years. Compared to a bunch of other ones, they were definitely the best...except for supporting that stupid stanby button on top! Everyone would always press that and then call.

"How many lights do you see on your modem sir?"
"Oh, just one...standby."
"Can you hit the standby button on top again please? K THX BYE"

The Motorola is a good modem. Its actualy the modem that COX uses as their OEM modem here in New Orleans and they do work good but, I have a sugestion that might save you some cash and give you more options with all the bells and whistles.

The motorola modem usualy runs about $75.00 retail

Try this, It's way more reliable and faster!

I'm a network administrator at a very large church here in new orleans. I built the network from scratch. The property is half of an entire city block and has wireless throughout the whole property and also about six hard wired computers.
Our whole network is D-Link and I couldn't be happier with it.
It's extreamly reliable with lots of features on each peace of equipment.
D-link realy goes the extra mile on giving more options and speed than any other company.
Oh, and the tech support is top notch. Way better than Charter will give you with that Motorola.

can u guys please help me with a ethernet card for my very old Hp 6835 computer,i need to buy one, but i do not know what kind or brand or specs, please am fixing this for my little son but does not have the card. internt is all now days.u can email me to
