Hi guys,
I'm quite new here, so please bear with me :D

Err ... i got Just Cause 2 after a lot of research for a good open-world game. I couldn't wait to get into the game when...

WHAM!

I receive an error message stating:

Fatal DirectX error!
Code: 3
Result: 0x887A0002: DXGI_ERROR_NOT_FOUND

The game will now exit. Try starting the game with /failsafe if the problem persist.

*I am aware that this might not be the right category to post this, so feel free to move it :) *

System specs:
Windows 8 x64 Consumer Preview
Intel i5 460m 2800 MHz
Nvidia 310m 512 mb
Intel HD graphics 2+ Gigs in combination with Nvidia 310m using Nvidia Optimus
Ram 4 gigs

So is that the problem? I thought it affects directX, so I tried re-updating it, and updated my drivers for nvidia to latest. Then I updated the drivers for Intel HD from their site. Nothing seems to work. Maybe (I don't really think this is the problem) the problem is in Windows 8 itself?

Then again, if there is no other solution, I will have to keep the game until I get a new computer. One better suited for gaming.
Please do suggest anything that might help if you come across this thread, I still hope that something might work.

Im having the same problem
system specs:
Intel i7-3630QM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 660M / 2GB GDDR5
RAM: DDRIII 8GB
HDD: 750GB 7200 RPM
RF: 802.11b/g/n
