Just ran the WEI on windows 8 (fairly fresh install) with nothing running in the background and the processor and ram both got 4.9 out of 9.9. I dont know why its saying this, in windows 7 i was getting around 7.1/7.9. theres no way my pc is getting a score that low, i mean i know its inaccurate but this is a joke.

As you can see below my specs arent 4.9 material. i was expecting atleast a 7.5 (this is what i got in windows 7)

With Windows 8 being the version of windows for the next 3-4 years(Think of all the new hardware coming out in that time frame), Would you not figure they would make the scores harder to get higher numbers on?

When Vista came out, almost ALL computers maxed the WEI out. It was not even hard on Win7.

I would bet they are trying to make it more accurate(so that not every system built in the next 2 years maxes it out). It did not exactly take off as they hoped it would anyway. It was supposed to be an easy to read/use system requirements setup for software. Ohh can I run this lets see. Requires WEI 4.5 and i have 2.1, better not buy this yet.

Hi :)

My shops sell graphics cards from £40 to OVER £1000...

Where would you put your card on that scale ?

All the best Brett :)

The scores have probably been adjusted to account for the larger scale when calculating scores. I really wouldn't worry about what a number on a screen says your performance is like. If you feel like the performance isn't where you want it when you actually use the machine, then do something about it. Whining about your low WEI score is utterly pointless.
