Power Supply query

Hi, I'm in the process of upgrading and I'd like to know what PSU would be recommended for the following rig:

AMD FX-6100 6-core @ 3.90 GHz
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard
8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM
XFX Radeon HD 7950 DD 800M 3GB GDDR5 GPU
1TB HDD
Blu-Ray RW Drive
Possibly an SSD of around 64GB

This is the one area that no one should ever skimp on. I have been burned by a cheap PSU before. If you are not planing on adding an additional GPU, you should be fine with a 600W power supply. Personally I love the corsair builder series for quality and affordability.

Your board is not going to support crossfire/sli, so you don't need more than 500W. A little extra margin never hurts though.

Given the relative value of your system I would look at a step up from the Corsair builder series.

Seasonic M12II is a nice fit for you, at $80 and free shipping

I didn't even notice the MB had a PCI slot, at a glance I thought it was a 4x PCIE slot. Personally I would spend a few more $'s on the motherboard unless you are building a mini system.

Seasonic does make great power supplies (they even make the Corsair's, hence my recommendation) The 520 is also modular, but normally its $30-40 more than the corsair builder 600, with the current savings on the 520 (20% off), there is no reason not to buy it over the builder series.
