is this a good build for a gaming computer. im not looking into hard core gaming like COD but more like guild wars 2 on ultra high settings. my parts are:

Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 500w Power Supply

Corsair Vengeance Blue 8 GB

AMD FX-6300 FX-Series Six-Core

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3

XFX AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB

Asus 24xDVD-RW Serial ATA Internal OEM Drive

Western Digital WD Scorpio Black 750 GB

Cooler Master Elite 430 - Mid Tower

Well, i recommend a better card for gw2, it's decent, but a 7850 will be much better if you can afford it, you can lower down the motherboard for a one with the 970 chipset, also make sure that the corsair vengeance is the cheapest ram that you found.
You can lower the hdd for a 500GB if it's cheaper, by the way, that's a laptop hdd.
And an important thing, ditch that psu, it's junk, get a proper psu from brands like corsair, antec, xfx, seasonic, pc power and cooling, rosewill(green, hive, capstone and above), fsp, enermax.

Ok Your Mobo is overkill with that CPU, get the 970. Get you a 80 bronze or better PSU from a name brand that has already been recomended. Make sure your memory is at least 1600 with a CL9 or lower. The faster the speed the better as long as your MOBO can handle it. Get you some extra case fans for cooling and maybe a CPU cooler. And what OS are you going to use? WIN 7 64? And for a gaming PC Build you want to spend the most you can on the GPU, get you a 7850 2gb, 7870, GTX 650ti, GTX 660. You can save money on your PSU, MOBO, Memory, and DVD drive to get you a better grafics card. Just shop around.

ok so what if i went with a GA-970A-UD3 mobo, Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB hd,
Corsair Builder Series CX 500 Watt psu. the graphics card im still lost on what to get. im trying to stay around $600 and i will be running windows 7. this is my first build, didnt know much about computers before is started.

You can connect them to the psu, if it's a fan with molex you just plug in the psu with molex connector(some will run at full speed, unless it comes with adapter).
You can also buy a fan controller, it will be the best choice, if you want to add more fans.
