So, i've been trying to piece together a budget gaming pc (well, $800ish budget, definitely not the expensive build) - I'm completely new to building my own PC, so while it's been a really fun learning experience for me i figured i should show the build i've ended up with to someone who actually knows what they're doing, and hopefully get some constructive criticism on my build before i dump my money into something i'm not even sure will run.

I was mainly wondering if I'm doing some stupid bottle-necking somewhere or if i'm just being way too cheap, the build is only really meant for gaming, and while i'm not exactly aiming for ultra settings on Crysis 3, it's definitely meant to atleast run the games coming out for the next few years.

Specs:
Mobo: MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard LGA1155 Socket B75 USB 3.0 Gigabit LAN
CPU: Intel Core i3 3220 3.3 GHz 2 cores 4 threads 3 MB cache LGA1155
RAM: 8GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz RAM
GPU: MSI N660 TF 2GD5 Graphics card GF GTX 660 2 GB GDDR5 PCI
Power Supply: Corsair CX430M ATX12V 2.3/ EPS12V
Salvaging my HDD and Case from my old PC.

Additionally:
Don't need a new Screen or OS.
Website: Newegg.
Brand: No real preference as to what parts i want.
Overclocking: Would be a yes.
SLI: Yes.
Crossfire: would be a dunno. You tell me. =P
Resolution: 1920x1080
Reason for Upgrading: My old pc is just old, battered and dying, the GPU is too old to run directx 11, i couldnt fit more than 4gigs of DDR2 RAM on the mobo and yeah... Just too old.

So, am i being dirt cheap? How much upgrading can i do to this thing once i get a bit more coin to play around with? Are there any major improvements i can make without paying that much more? Will the thing i'm hoping to piece together even run?

Anyway, I apologize if I'm being too damn vague for you to help me - but i hope you have some sound advice for a complete noob like myself, and thanks in advance. :)

Do you live near a microcenter? If you do, you could get a nice intel gaming rig. Here's what I made for a nice AMD gaming rig.

EDIT: whoops. missed on you salvaging your HDD & case. go grab a 7970/670 instead. maybe an H77 board. you could go with an OCable 3570K+Z77 build with a little compromise on the GPU.
