So, what do you think about this game.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y9711pvZkc
My first thought is, will it be a FPS or a open world 3rd person game??? Its a RPG based game apparently, so im guessing its 3rd-person

This games looks awesome but there is very little info about it...
Do you think it will be good/ bad or AWESOME.

I just want to hear what you guys think is going to come out of this title?
Graphics? / gameplay? Storyline? will there be a multiplayer?

Im very curious to know what its all about.

We haven't seen anything technical for it yet. We've seen a pre-rendered cinematic.

Personally I expect good things because of the developer handling the game. Their one pitfall is sub-standard control schemes and not the most fluid character animation, and I'm waiting anxiously to see if they can step up to the plate with Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3.

The game's not expected out anytime soon. When it does release it's entirely possible that there could be a shift in GPU tech or features that would render something from the 600 series generation obsolete. I'm not saying that will be the case, but there's no reasonable way to speculate, and no reasonable person will speculate.

No way on the 690 unless your talking a 2560x1440 resolution or it carries over Ubersampling from Witcher 2.

Im a bit wary, as has been pointed out all we have of it so far is a pre-rendered cinematic, so in terms of gameplay and actual graphics we have nothing to go on.
You can pick up on a lot of the themes though. The dangers of unrestrained advances in technology and of AI technology (assuming the woman is a cyborg), coupled with the lines between personal and overall responsibility for our actions (made pretty obvious by the song).
The Cyberware shop front, can see graffiti on the nearby walls which is suggesting to me a large divide between the rich and poor. The background of the police officers shows this grunge industrial area, and those police are pretty heavily decked out with armour and weapons, they arent SWAT or military, just "police". From what I'm interpreting of it, I think its set in almost a totalitarian Rapture (city from Bioshock) with emergent technologies running rampant.
I'm liking it very much, if CD Projekt can pull it off, guaranteed buy from me.

Well we know more than just this. The game focuses on the loss of humanity as augmentation increases, and that seems like it's going to be a pivotal question that is posed to the player probably resulting in divergent playstyles; hi-tech low humanity vs low-tech high humanity.

The whole thing is very Bladerunner mixed with Deus Ex.

Was also thinking it compares a lot with Deus Ex, which could be a bad thing if it ends up pretty much being the same.

Hope they reference the true origins of its title "Cyberpunk", want to see technology integrated in more ways than physical manifestations like augmentations. Arguably what defined Cyberpunk is a novel called "Neuromancer", which is about a world where the internet is a virtual space where people can interact, and technology has advanced to the point where you can literally upload your mind to the internet, so in the case of your death you can have a clone made with your exact mind.
Need to see more of the "Cyber"" part I guess is what I'm saying, as so far its very much in the "real" world.

As more and more of your body is replaced by machinery and technology that outperform the original body part, do you become more than human in the sense that you are more powerful/smarter/stronger than any pure human could be, or do you become less so as you literally lose your human body and what defines you as human.

EDIT: the quote system is still a bit broke I think...

Shot dude. very helpful.. it sounds like they have the right concept in place.. but the end result is the actual gameplay. Nowadays, it seems that game developers are getting better and better at these amazing concepts but they dont put as much work into the "fun" part of the game.. they are able too but i almost get the feeling of a slight complacence.

This is really the crux of it. All the great ideas in the world won't amount to anything if the gameplay is bad. Witcher 2 is a great RPG, one of the best ever. It's also gorgeous visually and technically, but the gameplay is very subpar when you compare it to something with vastly superior control scheme and combat implementation like Dark Souls.

They need to remember that making a great video game is not just about having and realizing a great concept. You need to emphasize the game.

il wait till it arrives because so often you will see stunning visuals and very moody atmosphere only to find the game is junk, ala brink.
cyberpunk is a great genre that was done very well with deus ex in its day. not so well done with the latest 1. good story telling is essential as is character development, if they can get that rite and keep the visual quality and style , then theres no reason why this cant be a great game... then again its easy to get caught up in the visuals to find that they skrimped on the story telling.
