We have a user that is having problems printing on her computer. When another user logs in it prints fine. I would just delete the profile and have them recreate another as we have roaming profiles. When I have done this in the past it worked for a while but the problem resurfaces after a week or so. I was wondering what files or registry entries have the settings for installed devices are in a win7 profile. I was hoping to remove them and only have that section rebuild.

Open a command prompt (elevated), and run the printui tool: "printui /s /t2". Delete the printers installed for the user.

Click Start > Run > Services.msc, locate the Print Spooler service, and right-click > Properties > stop service. Then open My Computer and browse to c:\Windows\System32\spool\Printers and delete the contents of that folder. Restart the Print Spooler service.

Go back into the printui utillity (might need to restart it using same method as above) and try removing printers again. This time it should work. If necessary, check the "Ports" tab and remove any TCP/IP ports that are associated with the old printer.
