I am excited to start overclocking with my h100i that i am getting soon (only for CPU) I currently have a hyper 212 in it, but thing is, when i overclock the Fx-8350 my RAdeon 7970 gHZ bottlenecks or something, if im going to overclock it obviously shouldnt be for gaming right? just for things that can be done faster with an overclocked CPU, anyway as for my last question, does overclocking to large frequencys reduce component life dramaticcally when it is increased by .8 - 1.7 Ghz from the original frequency?

I can say from experience that if you can keep your temp and volts at a reasonable level that the life spam is not hurt that bad. I will say by the time your CPU dies it will be really old hardware anyways. I had an old e8400 and it was oc to 4ghz and used it for 3 years then resold it to my friend and he has had it for about 2 years or so and it is fine.
