I recently upgraded to a 3570k and the Asrock Extreme4 Z77. I'm trying to use my old Hyper 212+ but I'm not sure how to install it on this.
I previously had it on a Asrock 970 Extreme3 and Phenom II 955, all I needed to do was unscrew the two brackets that would've held the CPU's default cooler. But on the Intel board it looks like everything is too "reliant" on not being removed. I also noticed it uses Torx screws instead of the normal phillips head.
So my question is: am I even supposed to remove the Z77's CPU bracket? Or does the Hyper 212+ fit on top of it?
