Hi everyone! I have this problem my newly purchased NEC monitor and I'll appreciate any insights anyone of you might have:
I've just bought a NEC PA241W with the intention of using it with my Sony Vaio F13 laptop. Connected it with an HDMI cable through HDMI to DVI adaptor, as the monitor doesn't have an HDMI input. The power light goes blue for a couple of seconds and the screen shows a 'NEC' title, then the screen goes black and the power light starts blinking red and nothing else happens.
Vaio recognizes the monitor and seems to act as if it was actually working. So does NEC's Multiprofiler program. I also tried using VGA cable which led to the same results. The same with DVI to DVI connection to a desktop PC.
Any suggestions on what might be the reason? Does it look like I should return it? Thank you.
