Hey, I'd like some help from you guys because I'm building my first computer. I have all my parts set and ready to buy but I'd like to ask first just in case you would like to suggest to change some things or even tell me if some of the items I'm going to buy won't work with others. ^do that. in the mean time;

drop the sound card. onboard sound will do you justice if you're not into sound editing of any form or are not an audiophile with a killer sound system. REALLY re-affirm that you are an audiophile before you say it. seen plenty that said they are but ended up happy with a cheap earphone with no bass.

save yourself some dosh and go for Home Premium OEM. little to no benefit for a solely gaming PC

what are you doing with an air-cooled heatsink & a radiator for a custom water loop? choose either one, though i'd recommend you to stick with the 212 EVO if you're not going to OC a lot.

use the dosh you just saved up to improve your build elsewhere. i'm voting for the GPU. you should be able to grab a 7970/7950/670. maybe a slightly better case.

Hey thanks, I went ahead and dropped the radiator and went for a azza solano 1000r tower case and a gigabyte gtx 660

the 660 is actually kind of a minor step back from the 7870;

unless you're aiming for looks over performance, i'd really re-allocate that spending wisely. a $60-80 case like Corsairs 200R/300R, NZXT's Tempest 410 or CM's HAF912 would be perfect, cable management system and all, for an air cooled system, then spend the rest of the budget on a better card like the 7950 or a 660ti.

we'd also be able to help you a lot more if you fill in the form in realchaos' links; gives us a better idea at what to build that'll appropriately fit your budget and needs.
