I have been fighting an issue for a while now.

My computer (Win Vista) is loosing internet connection just long enough to kick me from always online services. Or to interrupt streaming services. It can happen 3 times in 15 minutes or once an hour. It can vary and time of day has no effect.
My Wife's computer (Win 7) is not having this issue.

Both are wired directly into our Belkin router. I have done a system restore from the factory disk, checked the connection with only one always online program that failed. Tried switching router ports and cables, flush DNS all with no improvements. I have a NIC on order thinking maybe my old on board is just spazzing.

Any advice on how I can resolve this issue. I use a lot of programs that require a constant connection and having to log in again every 10-15 is really, really annoying.

I'd say that this is a hardware issue if you got it a good while after you bought the PC and a retank/reinstall of the PC didn't work. Buying a new nic is probably the right thing to do, because it sounds like your onboard one is about to die on you.

Well, installed the new NIC. And no improvement. I'm thinking about just upgrading to win7. When I eventually update this computer's CPU and mother board I'm going to want it anyway.
May as well get it now and do a complete format, intstal and see if that helps.
