I have included a link for all the specs on the computer. I know the psu will need to be upgraded and have already found a 500w that will fit into the case. My problem is what graphics card can i get that will be compatible with the other components? I don't need anything really special. Thinking something in the radeon 6k or 7k range though. I want to stay with AMD/ATI products. The comp is now 3 years old and has given no problems so far. Just want to spruce it up a bit for some of the games the family plays on it.

Also, how do i know if i need a card with pci express x16 2.0 or 3.0? Neither the motherboard specs or comp specs says which one is compatible

Solution
what psu brand did you choose?

id say any 7770/650 gpu would be fine...an argument can be made for the 7850 though...anymore would bottle neck your cpu

I am going with the Corsair 500m/500. They offer good power and have same dimensions as current. I looked at the hd 7750 since i don't plan on running crossfire and only have 4g system memory.

I would suggest an HD 7770 or an HD 7750 DDR5 if you can't go over $100. You do NOT need a new PSU if you get the HD 7750 - that is the most power-efficient gaming card available. Plug it in and play :)
