I am going to be running intel i5-3570k core with a EVGA GeForce GTX 660 and I was wondering if there was a cheaper motherboard then the ASUS P8Z77-V LK that could support it without any issues?

I think you misread it, the non DCU version beats the DCU in performance per dollar on every test. Higher is better.

Well if you already have a EVGA 660 you should get another EVGA 660 but if you do not have any 660 yet i would go for any non reference model

The MSI GeForce GTX 660 HAWK has best performance per dollar among these GTX 660s:
