I'm trying to run 2 external LCD monitors (ASUS ips-VS239/LG ips-225). I got the LG monitor up and running to the laptop using an hdmi to hdmi cable. As for the ASUS seem is not being detected and not showing a picture and using a HDMI to VGA cable. My laptop is a SONY Vaio model VPCF115FM. need help... i want my LCD monitors to work at the same time while put my laptop monitor to sleep while i use the two monitors.

HDMI sends digital
VGA is analouge
What you need is a HDMI to VGA converter to able to see HDMI signal in to a VGA analouge channel.

Are you sure your laptop can handle exporting video to two screens in the first place? For instance, if you disable the HDMI to HDMI monitor, does the VGA to HDMI monitor work?
