I have a situation of two computers that both have broadband their own air cards in them to access the internet.

I've set up a netgear router with wifi (no internet connectivity) so that the pc's can share files and an external hard drive.

There is no default gateway on the local adapter (192.168.0.x).

For some reason, I can't connect to the internet and the local connection at the same time.

If I set the metric higher on the aircard to make it try first, will it still try the local connection if/when it realizes it's not a routable ip address?

I know it shouldn't be this hard, but....

Do I just need to add a route to my pc's for the local network? (Sorry, but I'm not close to them where I can try it).
