Hey im building my own PC and i just dont know which GPU to go for, i have done alot of research and it seems thats the HD 7950 is the one to go for tho, in some FPS tests shows that in some games the GTX 660 seems to do a bit better than the HD 7950, and tho again i heard that if you OC the HD 7950 it would be way faster than a GTX 660 OC so what is your guys opinion in here? there is 2 Pc's spec cuz its matters which card i pick but the price is totally the same, so please please please comment what you think is best

HD 7950 Specs:

CPU: INTEL i5 3570, 3.4GHZ CPU, IVY BRIDGE (TURBO 3.8GHZ)
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS B75 (USB3, SATA6G, PCI-E-3.0)
GPU: 3GB HD7950 XFX, DUALFAN
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GTX 660 Specs:

CPU: INTEL i5 3570K 3.4GHZ (3.8GHZ TURBO) UNLOCKED (OC READY)
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS P8Z77-V LX (Stronger motherboard than the 7950 got) , USB3,SATA6G,
GPU: ASUS 2GB DDR5 GTX660OC DC2T-2GD5

notes to the GTX660OC:
ASUS DC2T runs 1137MHZ clock, where TWINFROZRIII runs 1098MHZ
ASUS DC2T Is just as fast as a GTX660TI

So are you referring to the GTX 660, or the GTX 660 Ti? The Ti is faster and closer in performance to the 7950.
It looks like the reference 7950 is about 8% faster than a reference GTX 660:

That chart is an aggregate score over 19 different benchmarks. The GTX 660 Ti would be the one I would consider over the 7950, but not the 660. The 660 is still a great card and overclocks like crazy, but at the same price as the 7950, it's hard to turn that down.... and don't forget the free games that come with the 7950.

The only factor that would sway me towards the 660 is PhysX and whether or not you plan to play any PhysX games (Borderlands 2, Hawken, Metro Last Light, Batman, etc.). You would miss out on the full effects with the 7950.
