Hello all. My laptop is a Gateway (not sure what model but it's old). My Wireless Network Adapter is an Atheros. Here's what happened:

Downloaded and ran a program called Driver Genius that was supposed to remove any drivers that were not being used. After running it my wireless connection (which had been working fine for over a year) was no longer activating, nor was it even showing up in my Network Connections. I eventually got my home wireless network to show back up in Network Connections and it has full connectivity. When I try connecting with the laptop, it shows that I "Have Limited or No Connectivity" and says Windows Cannot Assign an IP address. However, when I run ipconfig I can see the IP address in the command window. After scouring the web for help here's what I tried to do to fix it:

I deleted the Driver Genius program. I reinstalled my wireless adapter driver. Made sure the wireless settings were set for "Automatic". Ensured DHCP was enabled. Ran ipconfig/release then renew. I even tried unchecking the check box that prompts to Notify when No Connectivity or Connectivity is Limited.

That's pretty much where I'm at. If anyone can please recommend anything else that I can try I would appreciate it very much as I use this laptop for school work. Thanks!!
