An "aquaintance"helped my daughter wipe her hard drive, but I think it was switched out....Windows always says "you may be a victim of software conterfeiting"
and an SSD scan came back "fake SSD"

idk? WHAT SHOULD I DO?

When you say wiped her hard drive, are you meaning that he completely cleaned it and reinstalled a windows operating system? if this is what he did, did he use cd media to reinstall? sounds like if he did clean it. He might have used a illegal copy of windows.

Get a real copy of Windows to install on the computer, or if a legal code was used, you need to get that and enter it in to activate it.

Right-click on My Computer, at the bottom towards the right you will see a windows code with a "change" link, click that, enter the correct unused Windows license key, it should activate normally then.
