When my Computer starts up, it goes to a screen that says "Disk Read error press Cont Alt Del to restart"

This is typical of a computer that is trying to boot from a non-boot disk (select the desired boot device in your BIOS) OR when the boot drive has been corrupted due to virus, or damage to the drive itself (bad boot sector, for example).
