netflix problem blackandwhite

I don't know if you got this fixed. Netflix started playing movies in black and white on Chrome so I was having to open IE when I wanted to use Netflix. Then last night, IE also play the movies in B&W. In addition to the B&W, the movies were also scrunched over to the left of the screen and there was no use of the controls.
I went to the Netflix chat source, where I have been many times before. A gal there told me to do the following and after doing this my movies are playing on both Chrome and IE.
Look up in the right corner of your screen where you have the line, then a box and then the X.
First, click on the box so it reduces the window some. Then grab your window down in the corner so that you can move it back and forth, up and down kind of fast. When you get done doing that take your cursor and make your window large, but not the full depth of what it can be.
That's right. Goofy as it sounds this did the trick for me. I have a 20" flat screen. I just make sure my browser window does not go clear to the top or clear down to the taskbar. Just make it a little smaller and walla!! You have your color video playing like it should.
I have been dealing with this for over 2 months. I kid you not that I tried everything. I un- and reinstalled Silverlite several times because I was told that was the problem. I even un- and reinstalled Chrome. I emptied cache, deleted cookies and browsing history. Nothing worked until this lovely little gal at the chat station last night had be try this.
