Hi,
i bought a custom pc few months ago and when it comes to playing some games, i'm having trouble with the framerate.

My specs are:
Intel core i7-3930k
Kingston hyperx 16gb ddr3
Motherboard sabertooth x79
asus geforce gtx 670 directcu ii
Monitor lg dm2780d 27"

I haven't done oc neither have i updated my bios version. Nvidia drivers are up to date.

When i play crysis 1 with max settings, antianalising 8x and vsync on, i get 24 fps average and it's almost impossible to play.
Same occurs with far cry 3 or even worse (Directx 11, vsync on, ultra graphics). The Witcher 2 at max settings with vsync on works fine (60 fps average), but with ubersampling the framerate frops dramatically (20 fps average).
Tried 3dmark recently and it almost didn't work in the fire strike stage. I always play at 1920x1080 resolution. I've also tried modifying the nvidia 3d configuration, but nothing changed.

I'm really disappointed because it should work way better. I was thinking that something might be bottlenecking my gpu. I uninstalled gpu tweak in case it downclocked my gpu, but nothing changed. I'm really frustrated, can somebody please help me?

You tested with some very demanding games and not the right settings for your card, so it's normal if you're not getting your desired frame rates. In crysis 1, lower AA and disable V-Sync. In The Witcher 2, disable Ubersampling and V-Sync.

Why not just disable V-sync in any games and enable adaptive v-sync through the Nvidia Control Panel? It works really well.

disable the vsync from the nvnidia panel to adaptive!vysnc usually(not in all games) lockes the frames per second usually to 30 or something like that!

then check if you have the latest drivers of your graphics card!
