The 2078 is the 448 Cuda core version vs the original 384 Cuda core version.

Well you cant really just compare numbers like that although its easier with two very similar cards.
The fact that the second card has more cores and a wider memory bus will offset the fact that it is clocked slower on both the cores and the memory in a lot of cases. How cards perform is always game dependent.
