Your TV (depending on features) could pull movies / music / photos from your laptop over DLNA, or your laptop could push these as well (of your TV supports it). Look for "DLNA" features.

If you look for wireless transfer of your laptop screen - not unless both your laptop and your TV are "WiDi" compatible, or you use some additional hardware.

I can't give the exact solution because you don't mention your error... ok You have to tried to connect one leptop to another leptop or moble. if connect your two devices then your problem in tv wifi setting.
and another thing you have to check your driver setting in your leptop
I think This answer is help full for you ............ Thank You

You were right using DNLA to connect works like a charm and it turns out I will need hardware to transfer the laptop screen.
