Can't use headset microphone

I have a problem i have a laptop with a built in mic. But recently i bought this headset (RAZER CARCHARIAS). And i wan't to use the mic on that but i can't seem to switch it. Because it doesn't show up with my recording devices it only show the built in mic. i really don't know how to switch it all help would be helpfull.

When i plug it in i don't get a notice or something like new device detected but on realtek HD audio configuration it show's it's plugged in, So i don't know what the problem is.

I can't find anything i can change i have 4 options i have digital output, speakers, stereo mix and microphone.
and under microphone i can only change 2 things microphone effects and standerd format.
