I am looking for a good 3rd person shooter. Preferably not a MMO. I don't mind multi-player I just want a good game with good game play and story. If that even exists! I already have Skyrim and Batman Arkham City.

Thanks

There are the older Elder Scrolls games, Morrowwind and Oblivion. No swearing leaves out my other favorites Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and my favorite game series of all time the Mass Effect Trilogy. The Fallout games can be first or third person. Both Fallout and especially Mass Effect have as rich a backstory as just about anything out there including the Elder Scrolls games. The Dragon Age games are quite good too but Dragon Age 2 is not as good as Origins at least not in replay value. Dragon Age 3 has been announced and sounds promising.

The Elder Scrolls games are the most family friendly. At least if you consider it ok to slaughter thousands of creatures and people like will never happen in real life but not having bad words you will hear every day in real life to be family friendly.

I would not get fallout games for kids. The games reward drug use and teach that for 50 bottlecaps you can cure your addiction. Of course I think the games are great but if you are concerned about swearing I would avoid fallout games for their drugh and alcohol use.

Guys, I'm not a kid, I'm fifteen. It's my parents who don't want the swearing.

The new Tomb Raider's a mix of adventure platforming and shooting, and it's lighter on the swearing than other games. Maybe a couple random "sh**" throughout the game. It's not a pure-bred shooter but as combat and cover mechanics go, it's superior to everything else in its genre at the moment in my opinion. The buttonless, natural cover system is just so much better than any other third-person shooter game it's embarrassing really.
