hi, i am trying to install a second and third internal hdd to my xp pc. when i go into the bios i can see the new hdd but when i go into the disk management i cant see it there. i have tried using an adapter to plug the hdd into the pc via usb and it can see it that way but not when i have it plugged in via sata. i have formatted the hdd via the usb to see if that would work and it still wont. i have even unplugged everything that uses power but is not important to see if the hdd is not getting enough power but it still doesn't work. i have a 250gb 2.5 as my primary and i am trying to get a 320gb 2.5 and a 80gb 3.5 as the second and third. all three are sata and my pc mother board has 4 sata ports. the 80gb hdd is the original from the pc but i cloned it and replaced it with the 250gb. i do not have any software such as raid and i do not have a floppy disk drive. my mother board is fairly old and i no longer have any instructions or the original disks for the xp. this is my first time upgrading anything on a pc and i have no clue what to do to get it to work i have been looking at these forums and videos for days trying to figure out how to get them to work. please if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
