So I am looking to update an ancient PC of mine in small stages, and had a few questions for my first stage..
My PC is a HP a1700n with a Asus A8M2N-LA and a AMD 64 x2 3800+ (2ghz).
My questions are:
-The Motherboard is limited by spec to accepting 4gb of ram, but upon looking at my System specs, windows sees all 6gb I have installed. Am I able to use all 6gb if Windows 7 is seeing it?
-I am looking to update to a AMD 64 x2 6400+ (updating bios to 5.07 to do so), and installing a ATI 5670. Will I need to upgrade my power-supply over the current 300W for sure? or only if I overclock (I wont)?
