I was installing xp on HP dv9720us laptop which originally came with Vista. Xp asked if i wanted to delete the hard drive before install and i did like i always do when i am installing Win 7. So it started to install XP and the computer shut down in the middle of the install. Now i get hard drive not found when i try to install again. I have tried switching the SATA in BIOS but this laptop does not offer that option. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction. THANKS!!!

It's hard to believe that it does not have SATA native mode. F10 to enter setup, far right column (System configuration), third option from below.
