Hey guys. I need help. I have 2 x Sapphire Dual-X HD 7970 and right now my crossfire isn't working. I did a clean install and tried all the tricks but the cards aren't linking up even in the GPU-Z they don't show up. I have 2 CF bridges and tried both and they still don't work. What do I do? If I can't fix this I might have to return them and grab something else even if it's Nvidia or something. Too much. I spent 3 hrs trying to fix the issue. Both cards are running but they're not linking at all.

I'll give it a try. I pray to go it better not be my mobo. I just picked up a new case and I don't want to have to go through RMA crap and lord knows how long I might have to wait. Agh!

Ahhhh! This is crazy. I did it and the screen went to sleep. This means the second lane is dead? OMFG!

I have done all of that. I made sure the PCI-E 3.0 is set to auto. Right now GPU-Z reads that I only have one card connected and that is in PCI-E 3 lane. This means the other one is pooched!

I did all of that. Thanks for trying to help. I am out of options and I just created a ticket. It's obvious now that this is a PCI-E slot issue. Just sucks.

Agh. Looks like it's actually my cards. I went out and bought a new Mobo as you can see on my sticky and I still don't get CF. Does anyone have any idea how to get this working? I tried 2 different crossfire bridges and nothing there and when I go to the bios it says PCI-E second slot is not present. WTF? Could it be my PSU? It's pretty new like couple months old.

It's the cards. They no longer work in CF. I tried the system on my brand new OCZ that they sent me and still no CF. Returning them tomorrow for eVGA GTX 680 SC or something since the store doesn't have vapor-x in stock or any other AMD cards. Sucks @ss!

This has happened before but worked after. So I took them back and decided to just grab the ASUS GTX Titan and get over it. It's quiet and consumes less power. I did pay $200 more but I guess I can add another one in 6 months time when Hasswell E comes out and should be good for sometime to come. Or I can just take it back grab a single GTX 680/7970 and call it a day. But getting 60+ FPS on Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 with Very High and Ultra settings on my 2560x1440p makes it worth the keep. The tech guy said it was fault memory on the GPU hence why they came and go and only one was being picked up half the time.

Also the Titan idles at 26 and my CPU idle temps also dropped to 28 from 38 after I replaced the 2 cards. And........ I got lucky with this Titan, it boosts all the way to 1.2GHz, it isn't supposed to do that but it is so I just go through games like they're nothing.

I went and bought a new board for nothing but now someone wants it and I don't see why since I can go back to my old UD5H once it comes back, I got to pay shipping now since it wasn't faulty.

Lol! I do intend on adding another one in two months and wait for haswell-e. 2 titans SLI should be awesome. Or I might just grab the 3770K use that until the Haswell-E comes out. I need it because I do coding and stuff and my 3570K struggles when I play and code at the same time.
