Since you are on a single monitor, that x2 card setup is overkill. You can go with only 1 GTX 670, and add 1 later one, maybe in 2-3 years, hence the 750W. Amazing MoBo for the price + cheaper SSD.

For this price bracket you should get the i5 3570k.

8GB RAM is plenty.

Get the vertex 4 rather than 3.

Don't see the point in 2 7970's unless your doing ultra high res triple monitor gaming.

PSU is over the top, no need for 850w.

Shoryuken's build is almost there, i would just change out the SSD, but i have selected that as the best answer.

Im planning to run games such as Crysis 3 Max settings with around 60FPS. Would 1 graphic card do the job?

Crysis 3 max settings is quite demanding, i would expect around 40fps on that. One card should handle most other games on ultra settings fine. If you feel you want the very best then it's your money to spend, if you would like the extra card then there's no problem with that.

One option could be to purchase the single card and see how you find performance, if it's not to your liking then you could purchase the second card.

A single 670 won't run it at a stable 60 fps. It's a very demanding game. Like mike said, except 40 fps. It's still playable.
