Hello, I have this common problem. I have looked for solutions, and found none that work. I have followed the "I7 - 2600K / I5 - 2500K Overclocking Guide" and disabled/enabled all of the options it listed, and I still cannot get it to work. I got it working previously, but I just updated my BIOS to the latest version, v2.9, and now I can't get it working.

Some misc. options:
I have vdroop set to 100%
Adjust CPU in OS enabled

I have been messing around with different configs. to try to get it working.

I noticed that after updating my BIOS, I no longer have the "Intel Turbo Boost" option and only "Enhanced Boost" option, I know that Intel Turbo Boost must be disabled, but I don't even see it in my BIOS anymore after upgrading to v2.9.

I would appreciate some help ASAP, thanks!

No, I just prefer to have all of my software up-to-date.

An important update though, I restored the BIOS' default settings by simply clicking on the option in the "Save and Exit" tab, and when I did that, it restored Intel Turbo Boost. Still trying to get a configuration that will work.

Not always the latest update is the best one. Personally and many overclockers use the BIOS that have better results and that's not usually the latest one.

In my case, I'm running a BIOS from around 2009 because the latest versions don't give me the same stability and overclock than the latest one.

Can a BIOS update really make it so it's impossible to overclock? o_O

Yeah, the Intel Turbo Boost now disappears whenever I reboot and bring up the BIOS after saving it.

- What made me want to update is the update said that it increased PCI-E slot performance for graphics cards. And I like to get the best performance I can, which now might not be the case >.<

Could you help me find a good and stable BIOS version to use? I will be right back though, I have to go help someone unload some wood.

The thing is, I don't know what settings need to be turned on/off for it to actually overclock. Before when I overclocked it, I had to mess around for hours to get it, and then it finally worked, so if I can just figure out the settings I need I could actually test it. I think I might post on the MSI forums since people there will probably own the same board as me.

I went over to the MSI forums, talked with a guy, and I found a BIOS setup someone else used with the same motherboard and I copied it and it works perfectly with the latest BIOS update that I have! :D

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it!
