Hello Hubbardt i do need a fast CPU, and good graphics, with lots of storage, i also want to be to upgrade in the future thanks

Do you know if those programs support multi-threading? How about multiple cores? If so up to how many?

Solid works is CPU heavy for resources. It's not 100% multi-threaded but a good proportion is. I'm not sure if Master Cam is CPU or GPU heavy but fortunately you have enough budget to not compromise either.

I would be looking for something along these lines.

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($288.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Asus P8B75-V ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($94.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Patriot Viper 3 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($91.93 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($89.98 @ Outlet PC)
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($229.49 @ Amazon)
Video Card: ATI FirePro V5800 1GB Video Card ($367.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Microcenter)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224BB DVD/CD Writer ($17.98 @ Outlet PC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ Outlet PC)
Total: $1391.30
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Key Features
- i7 processor has 4 cores plus hyper-threading which allows it to run 8 threads.
- GPU is a specialist workstation card. It is designed with modelling, rendering etc in mind where as standard cards are heavily geared towards gaming.
- Solid State Disk. You simply need to get one!
- Went way overboard on RAM. You can never have enough for this type of usage.
- Windows 7, did you need this?

The AMD FX-83** series work great with multi-threaded apps but the i7-3770 also has 8 logical cores (4 physical + hyper-threading) and performs even better :)

I would only choose a FX-83** series processor due to the lower price.

If it onlu supports 4 and i5 might make more sense
