How do I downgrade or fix not being able to watch videos on one monitor and play video games on the other? I have 2 monitors, and I usually play games like Civilization V or Tropico 4 on one and watch Netflix on the other. I've recently "upgraded" to Windows 8 from 7 and I get lag, a lot of it, when trying to watch a video and play a game, it used to work smoothly before the upgrade.

By upgrade I am assuming you did the in place upgrade right?

Seems like an issue with the upgrade is messing everything up
You can even try downgrading your drivers to a previous version

You can only downgrade windows 8 to 7 if you have windows 8 pro

Whats your system?

This is a problem with many cards/game combinations.

It happens because the game wants all video power and to run in full screen.

Look in the games options for something called windowed full screen or fake full screen. This fixes it for most games that supported.

If you have an Nvidia card, check the multi-display/mixed gpu settings(in the 3d profile page). Try the 3 options(only 2 make actual sense for you to want) and see what works best for you.
