I bought the gtx 580 when it first came out, but now I'm craving some more power. Should I go ahead and sli it, or wait for the gtx 780 to come out. (I have a budget of about $500)

2 580s would still probably trump the 780 or probably match it. I would recommend picking it up, you never know when those cards are going to come out, there are going to be supply issues and they might have initial problems. I tell people to never wait unless its only a week or two.

Thanks! I was wondering what psu to get? I was thinking about the Corsair TX950, but if you guys have any other recommendations, I'd love to hear it. (I do plan on overclocking)

580 Sli still is a monster setup!

Aslong you don't play moded skyrim or 1440p that 1.5GB will serve you fine . Beside windows can always use system memory if little more than 1.5GB is required :)
HX or AX 750 is fine but
TX 950 is a 80 + silver Excellent PSU no problem even with monster overclock on those 580s

You may also want to think about selling your 580 and picking up a two 670. the 580 are going for around $200-250 and a new 670 with 2gigs goes for about $375. So if you coud sell your 580 for @200 that would be enough for the 2nd 670. I believethe 670 is roughtly 10-15% faster than a 580 (too lazy to look a link).
