I am putting together a new computer build to retire my old AMD FX since I was disappointed with its performance here's what I have so far then I'll list my questions, thanks

BUILD
Swiftech h20-320
Corsair Cosmos 2
Samsung 840 SSD
1000watt Corsair PSU
Soundblaster Fatal1ity or however you spell it

I'm debating what to do with video cards and processor motherboard since both are due to be updated shortly

I'm debating between 2011 and 1150 socket intel's.
I know the knew Radeon series is coming out shortly also which will drive this current generation (7970) down in price too hopefully. RAM I can "borrow" from my old build until I can get some high end RAM

Do they get any better performance out of higher clocked RAM 2400 2133 ect ect?

Thank you for your time reading this, any help would be appreciated!

I want to spend about 400-700 on mobo and processor

I honestly say, if you are going to build a new system, wait a month or two more and get Haswell. 1155 / 2011 will be soooo last year (so to speak). Then you will be as future proof than most since that will be the new socket.

Yea Haswell has a supposed release date of June 2nd from some website I was reading. I didn't see a whole lotta stuff on the 4770k which is the new 3770k. I was hoping to see some kind of pricing sheet, and also sad to see no 6 core processors. What new features are coming with Haswell?

If your using this system for gaming, higher end ram gains very little performance over your average 1600. We are talking less then 5FPS

I read that even going from 1333 to 1600 you will only see a 5% increase overall max.
