(Help!) :) amd Fx-4170 overclocking

So i got an amd fx-4170 heard it was great at overclocking so i tried to overclock with the asus program to 4.8 but the temps are way!!! high im using a "Cooler Master RR-V6GT-22PK-R1 V6 GT Multi-Socket CPU Cooler" and dont know why the temps are so high any help would be apriciated o and the mother moard is a "ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ Motherboard"

  1. voltages to high? it starts at 4.2ghz, so +600mhz shouldnt produce that much extra heat. u sure its seat properly? and used enough thermal paste?
  2. Every chip is different. Some overclock better than others. If you can't get the speed you want it might not be obtainable without better cooling.
  3. Alright taking apart and making sure its seated properly and has enough thermal paste
  4. Well took it all apart (witch sucked!) put new layer of artic silver and made sure it was seated properly i have 4 case fans so i know its got good airflow and i get to 59C on prime 95 under full load and 34c idle at 4.5 it sucks i can get it higher but thanks for the help every one!
  5. Wait what should the voltages be!? Im using asus ai suite and under full load it says Vcor 1.440V is that to high!? I never messed with the voltage:o
