I am using dell Inspiron n5030 Laptop and need to know if my graphic card is compatible with an iMon 270 IPS LED Monitor. I cannot see what kind of graphic card I have anywhere. Here's the link to the monitor I bought. Anyone in the know would be appreciated. Thx.

From this link, you have:

"The integrated Intel® GM45 graphics take the Inspiron 15’s hi-def experience to a new level. And with 512MB of dedicated graphics memory,5 you can work seamlessly with large video files and graphic-rich games. "

Looking at the specs for the display, you can't use the GM45 properly with it. See the specs for the monitor here:

Really, any standard display (the iMon is not a "standard" display) will work as long as it has a VGA input (your laptop only has VGA output). A more capable notebook/laptop (like one with displayport or HDMI output) would give you more options.

Thx COLgeek,
I want to keep the iMON since I bought it on eBay from S. Korea and its promising - No ? I want to get a computer with the right grafic card and dual core that will work w/ it. Any sugestions there are appreciated.
All the PC's I've checked have non conforming graphic cards. Of course as you can tell I'm a novice when it comes to hardware. Hence my purchase of the iMon. Regards, Michael
