Just built my new computer, but i'm having some issues. Applications aren't as quick as they should be, and tend to freeze (not responding) for 10-15 seconds and then come back.

make sure your mb has the newest bios ram code. use cpu-z read the ram speed the mb has set and look under the spd tab and see the ram rated speed and timing. you may have to run the ram at 1600/1333 speed for it to be stabled. also on your build check that the hard drives and cd-rom are on the amd main ports and there set to achi mode. also make sure you downloaded and installed the newest amd mb chipset drivers. if it not the ram check your hard drive with hd tune and a vendor test tools. it could be the drive or a bad sata cable.

Yes, much likely.

Try to use only one RAM stick, so take the other one out, and run the same apps. If the problem still is there, then try the other RAM stick, so take the one you tried out, and install the other RAM stick. Again run the same apps.

If this doesn't solve the problem, then either both RAM sticks are faulty or the problem is coming from another component in your system.
