need help computer issues

my desktop seems to be having a problem it randomly stops displaying on my monitor .it acts like it shut down but all the fans are running. I did a scan but nothing turns up and its not overheating from the CPU temps are stay around the 30-45 degrees C please help if you know

well i have two monitor both hooked up and they both quit and my friend made the computer about 3-4 years ago if that helps any

If BOTH monitors quit at the same time then you can exclude the monitors and their cables.

The first step is to swap to a different video card. You can buy an HD6450 for $30 if you don't have a spare. If you have onboard video you can try that.

It could also be the PSU or motherboard but it's most likely the video card.

Had u tried cleaning the comp from the dust.... see if it helps?

it do sound like the card....
but i would try check the PSU first, try check the voltage in bios or use apps hwmonitor to see the voltage value when it works at 100% something like prime95 and kombustor/heaven at same time...

if it was the video card would i still be able to hear music when the monitor shut off i have speaker that are spate from the monitor and the music doesnt play still i was told to check in to the power supple unit
