Hello, I am planning on ordering an FX-6300 and have no idea how to OC. I will be using the stock heatsink and fan, and want it at 4.0GHz, however, what voltage should I set it to? I'm a n00b at this. Thanks

yikes. I wouldn't dare use stock heatsink n fan to cool an overclock. You're a noob to this, which is ok, but this could be a big mistake. Buy a cheap cooler for $20.

When you do overclock search for "FX-6300 overclocking guide"

Yes, it would be best not to bother with OC'ing too much until you have a decent aftermarket cooler. That being said. Out of the box the CPU will boost up to 4.1ghz and will remain within the thermal limits. It is beyond what you are originally asking for. Once the overclocking bug bite settles in, please pick up a decent aftermarket cooler $20-30. Cheers.
