Bios Won't Load

So the problem I'm having is this: When I boot my computer, a message is displayed telling me that the CPU and RAM have changed and I should go into the bios to update the settings. Below that I'm given an option to enter the bios or boot with current settings. Regardless of which option I choose, the screen turns black and nothing happens (I've left it alone for about 15 minutes to see if was just taking a while to load).

This is a brand new HTPC build with the following parts:

MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Motherboard
AMD A6-5400K
4GB Super Talent RAM
1TB WD SATA Drive

Any help is appreciated.

Solution
I really suspect the RAM. There are mixed statements about what it actually is. Ads state it is CL7
http://www.hitechvendors.com/p-44876-super-talent-2gb-ddr3-1600-pc3-12800-cl7-memory.aspx But think about it.... CL7 1600Mhz? 1.5V???? not very likely.

So, it is probably this
http://www.supertalent.com/datasheets/Supertalent_DDR3_UDIMM_W1600UB2Gx_Datasheet.pdf
CL 11, 1.5V

I would swap that out as the first step in troubleshooting. After that I might consider the board.

You could also hook up a motherboard speaker to see if it's beeping at you.

You only get that message if you have added or removed or changed or reseated any hardware, the Bios is just asking for a manual Save, you do not need to change anything in the bios.

If you happen to get a Quick Bios Save, you should get an onscreen message at the bottom of the screen after the post boot and diagram screen
"blah blah blah SUCCESS"

If you still cannot get past the boot and the message still appears to enter bios, there is a setting that must be changed or it is drawing your attention to a temp problem, a ram speed problem or something that has caused a change in the bios that requires user intervention.

Resetting the cmos will only change most of the bios settings to default values again meaning you still have to enter to make the changes. Also a reset cmos means you have enable/disable features that you had set previously as well as Date/Time. Cmos reset is always a last resort.

Not sure about the Super Talent ram, speed would be good and serial or batch number. It does rate very high, though. It might be the wrong voltage that is causing an issue with something or other.

Your motherboard supports two unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 1066/1333/1600/1866/2133*(OC) DRAM, 32GB Max

What PSU outpout (make and model)? Vdeo card?

I've tried resetting the cmos and bios. I get a similar message but the computer still hangs whether I try to continue or enter bios. The RAM is good, I pulled it from a working system. I don't have a video card in the system because of the AMD process w/onboard GPU.

I haven't tried updating the bios yet, I'm going to give that a go later today.

*****edit****
Scratch that, m flash requires that I get into the cmos setup, which I cannot do... the comp isn't even going through post.

I haven't been able to find the voltage for this ram, but the model is w1600ub2g7. The power supply is a generic that came with the case, the case is an apex dm-318.

ATX12V Flex 275W Power Supply
APEX DM-318 Black Steel Micro ATX Media Center / Slim HTPC Computer Case w/ ATX12V Flex 275W Power Supply

275 watt PSU is really only about 220 watts total output. Even if it was 275 watts, that is not really enough, I 'm surprised that your PC even boots up.

edit -
There are a lot of good feedback for this rig, I just don't understand why

Even 220 should be plenty, the only things drawing power worthy of note are the motherboard/CPU. I don't have any cards or an optical drive in the setup. One could say the hdd pulls a bit, but for giggles, and to see if I could get a different message, I tried booting without the hdd.

If it is brand new, time to get out the RMA.
Did it ever work at all?
What purpose is this PC for you?
It's a media center PC not for gaming.

When the monitor goes blank, is the monitor light in standby mode or is in ON mode? Standby is usually red or amber light, ON light is usually green light. If the light is not green (ON), give the on/off switch of the monitor a few flicks to get it to ON mode, after you have booted (powered on) the PC.

I was planning to return it on Monday if I couldn't get things to work, and take the opportunity to pick up an ASRock motherboard that has a fiber connector in addition to HDMI. The current board is brand new and at no point progressed past the issue I listed. This is a HTPC build, planning to drop openElec on there. The monitor recognizes there's signal after it hangs, up until I pull the monitor cable and plug it back in, then the light goes amber.

Thanks for trying to help.

I use two monitors with my PC and I was trying VGA and then switched to DVI, while I was testing the HTPC.

Return it otherwise get a better PSU, I reckon a Corsair cx430 watt PSU would fix all your problems. It's never booted from the start.

The problem with hdmi and dvi, is that they are not considered as primary video out when coupled with a vga out port, on the PC.
The vga port would be the primary video out port.

So, connect the vga cable to the vga port of the monitor and boot up. Don't remove it from the PC, make sure the monitor green ON buttn is lit prior to booting, you have to be quick to power on because the light swtiches to standby mode after a few seconds or so.

Leave it that way then post back here what screen it shows when it hangs, should be the POST screen, with the F1, F2 options at the bottom of the screen.

If the screen goes black after the POST scren then the onboard video out GP chipset is faulty however, can you hear whether the hard drive is working?
