I have a computer that has a mic issue. I have a Geforce GT620 installed and my monitor is being used through the HDMI port in the back of the card and i have a PPA 1424V sound card installed (it can be found at this website http://ppa-usa.com/computer-products/sound-cards/pci-sound-card-8-channel.html) i am using the front panel connectors via the passthroughs that the case uses. the passthroughs are plugged in the sound card. i am using a cyber acoustic headset (sorry cant remember the model) and the sounds are going through the speakers in the headset but i cant seem to get the mic to work. i have also tried doing it with multiple headsets and all have the same results. when i go into the control panel there are 3 mic options. the one with the envy24 WDM is set to default and the others don't seem to work either. they are Line in also with the envy24 and there is the high def audio device. i have tried using skype and windows sound recording to capture sound and have others hear me. and when i go on http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri it says sound is comeing out from nvidias driver. so... im stuck and would really like some help

I know the sound card is old but I cant find any of the motherboard drivers for windows 7 anymore. The MOBO is an ASUS M2NBP-VM CSM. the whole point of getting the card is to compensate for not being able to get drivers. And the case is really old so it uses passthroughs to get front panel sound.

Not to my knowledge. HDMI supports audio, but doesn't usually have a sound "in" unless you have that audio pass back channel. And as you said the headphones worked so you weren't using HDMI audio but the computer audio. So unless the mic was muted on the headphones or in the sound panel it should have worked but didn't. If the mic works on other computer it must be the soundcard.
