Hello

I'm finding my pc getting a Boot Disk Failure when I first turn it on for the day. I have to restart the PC 6-7 times to get it to start.

So far I have checked bios settings tested installing windows on an SSD and a different hard drive still same problem, I checked my memory, tested and tried in different slots, no joy. I have tried three different sata cables in 4 different slots on my mobo.

Anyone any idea what could be causing this?

Thanks

with a ssd it could be a sign of a firmware bug. some ssd had know firmware bugs that after a set time running the device would brick. (turn into a paperweight). check the ssd firmware and run ssd vendor diag tool or run hd tune and read the ssd smart info. the other three issues could be a dirty sata ports or a port that lose or bad...a bad power supply that not outputting the right voltage at power up.. (bad cap). the mb sata port/chipset is failing. Myself i see if someone had a spare power supply to see if it was a power issue.

I had the problem on a hard drive as well as on my ssd. I know the SSD has latest firmware. I Shall test the power supply cause that is one thing I have not looked at thanks and will clean my ports, thanks.
