Trouble getting crossfire to fire

I'm using an HP dv6 6135dx. It has an AMD A8 apu that has 6620g graphics on it, as well as a discreet 6750m. I see both, and have crossfire turned on in the catalyst, however it doesn't fire up when I start up games. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

The A8 is an APU. The 6620g is on that. The 6750m is discreet, so in this case no. I used to get a pop-up notification when I booted up BF3. Haven't played in a while, but when I did recently I didn't see it. Also, speedfan recognizes the 6750, however I have yet to see a temp reading from it. Even while gaming.
