I have a tiny RNX-MiniN1 wireless adapter with their software installed on my laptop. I want to use a stronger adapter, (a new Jacobsparts Adapter) so I would need to install the software for that one also. My question is: Would having two of them loaded on laptop cause problem? I would only have one at a time plugged into USB port.

yes you need the software/drivers for both

having 2 causes no problem even if connected at the same time

theres even a new software now that lets you use more than one to connect to multiple networks at once

i can connect to my wifi and a bt openzone at the same time using 2 wireless adapters with it to get more speed
