I've only ever had a laptop(s) and don't really know much about desktop pcs. However, for a couple of weeks i have been planning and have saved up money so that i can build my own pc. This is where i'm struggling, i've found a few guides on what i should be building but there are two options that i don't know is best.

Type 1;
-GIGABYTE GA-F2A85X-D3H AMD A85X (Socket FM2) ATX Motherboard
-AMD (Trinity) A10-5800K Black Edition Quad-Core Socket FM2 Unlocked Accelerated Processor

Type 2;
-Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard (Socket AM3+, Up to 16GB DDR3, USB 3.0, uATX)
-AMD Bulldozer FX-6100 Socket AM3+ 6 Core Processor - 3.30GHz, 3.90GHz Turbo
OR
AMD FX-4100 3.60GHz (3.80GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 4-Core Processor - Retail
- As well as a discrete graphics card (possibly?; XFX Core Edition Radeon HD 7770 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card)

This is what i have so far, the first type would save me buying a discrete graphics card but i'm debating which option to choose. I was wondering if any of you guys could please help me decide, give feedback or recommendations on what you guys would change/keep the same. Your help will be invaluable.

Thanks, Tom

Sorry, it bypassed my mind. In total £700, i wont be using it for hardcore gaming just a few games through steam etc that i want to run smoothly at decent settings and FPS (mid-high). Other than gaming, a bit of multi-tasking for university.
