Hi, i am going to build a gaming pc and i can't decide between these two cases.

Corsair Obsidian Series 550D

Rosewill Thor V2

I WILL be overclocking the CPU, GPU, and RAM so for the 550D i would remove all the doors. I need something that i can overclock everything in it and not have to worry about it overheating, the CPU will be liquid cooled. The GPU dispatches most of it's heat in the case not out the PCI Slot.

I want something that will be sleek INSIDE & OUT, if there are other cases below $150 please feel free to suggest them.

There is also the Coarsair 650D or something idk but it comes with out the sound damping material and without the doors. Also if i take the sides off the 550D will that defeat the purpose of the sound damping material and the dust filters.

Thank You

Which do you think would offer more expansion and extreme cooling, also the V2 is Full ATX where the 550D is Mid ATX, however the 550D has a huge CPU back opening and is more sleek

Fractal Design Define R4 is my bet on the best all-around case for your Money right now. You won't have to remove any doors. It's silent (has sound dampning material installed), it has a lot of cooling options, it also comes with a fan-controller so you can turn up the air flow when doing heavy overclocking. It has Space for both a 280m radiator in the front and on the top, so you have something to play with, when you're installing your Water cooling.

It's recommended by Tomshardware .

I dunno - the thor got good reviews for cool and quiet. That was my first choice but was too big for the available space. However, really like corsair too. Cant go wrong either way.

If you face the cpu cooler into the case (best results) may want to add more exhaust up top.

Overclocking the ram is nearly useless for gaming and if u go over 1.5v on sb or ib you can damage the memory controller.

If ya gonna leave the doors / panels off (not recommended), I'd look at this

The Thor V2 gets a 9.1

I'd take the 500R (9.25 rating) over the 550D especially at the silly $88 price newegg has it for. $120 - 10 off w/ promo code USMRCHMD6, ends 3/18 - $20 MIR

I honestly do not like the 550D it's to plan looking for me lol! On a serious note though i think either one will do.I'd also look at other choices like Corsair Carbide Series 500R or Fractal Design Define R4 or COOLER MASTER HAF XM.
