Hello, I currently have a radeon 7750 GDDR3 2gb, a retailer is selling my exact card for $65.00 and Im just wondering if it would be worth it to grab another one and run them on dual graphics mode. I have a 550 watt Antec PSU and Id be using it for gaming on Medium to High settings at 1366 x 760 x 32 resolution generally. Would there be a noticable performance increase? What single card would it roughly be equivelant to do you think?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Solution
No don't buy another 7750. Save up for a real GPU. Only some models come with an CF finger.

There will be a noticeable increase in some games (if you can even CF them) but it won't be anything significant since the 7750 is a weak card in general.

7750 CFX performance is around a 6870.

i agree. go for the second 7750. it will nearly double your frame rates. whoever says not to pair two cheap graphic cards is delusional. its not anymore worse than pairing two hi end cards. crossfire is crossfire. it doesn't matter whether you pair low end cards or hi end ones. OP please go for the second 7750 if you have another free pciex16 slot on your mobo.

Thanks I appreciate the input. I figured it would make sense considering the card is on sale for $65 and i wouldnt be wasting a perfectly good 7750 . If i get the performance of a 7770 or slightly better Im content.

A 6870 can't max out most games.

Most games don't scale very well with crossfire. Battlefield 3 and Metro 2033 are the only games that scale properly with 2 or more cards. The rest have a 10-40% boost. You're also limited to 1GB of VRAM and the 128-bit bandwidth. It's not the same as pairing 2 7870s.

I would save that extra $65 for a 7850.

Because in the end, he will need more power than the two 7750s and he will eventually throw the 7750s away. Its better to save sooner than later.
